League of Legends Patch 10.13 Mid Lane Tier List
By Joe Melillo
League of Legends Patch 10.13 mid lane tier list takes a look at which champions give you the best chance of carrying your solo queue games and gaining LP. The mid lane meta is wide open, and there are many viable picks for the role. Scaling mages, roaming assassins, and bruisers all see a fair amount of play in the mid lane. Even though the role has a lot of variety in its champion pool, the best mid laners are able to win their lane and roam to help secure objectives and put pressure on top and bot. Here is a list of the strongest mid laners that will help you win consistently in Patch 10.13.
League of Legends Patch 10.13 Mid Lane Tier List
S Tier-Talon, Fizz, Cassiopeia, Galio, Kassadin, Ekko
Spotlight: Talon
Talon is a great pick because of his early kill potential and his ability to roam using Assassin's Path (E). Many meta mid lane champions (Cassiopeia, Kassadin, Yasuo) need a few items before they reach their full potential. Talon is the optimal counter pick to most of those champions because he can apply immense pressure early in lane and either collect solo kills or push the wave and look to roam. A fed Talon forces the enemy team to play conservatively because of his roaming potential and makes it easier for his team to get leads that they can snowball into a victory.
A Tier- Twisted Fate, Ahri, Zoe, Zed, Yasuo, Sylas, Diana, Annie, Nocturne, Katarina
Spotlight: Diana
Diana is an interesting champion because she is an assassin with great team-fighting tools. At her core, she is designed to use Crescent Strike (Q) and Lunar Rush (E) to dive onto out of place targets and punish poor positioning. Her ultimate, Moonfall (R), however, remains one of the best team-fighting abilities in the game. A strong Diana can easily demolish an entire back line and end team fights quickly. Diana just misses the S tier for her lack of roaming tools and her ultimate being slightly weaker than Fizz's in the current patch.
B Tier-Malzahar, Pyke, Qiyana, Orianna, LeBlanc, Aurelion Sol, Neeko, Lux, Viktor, Pantheon, Irelia
Spotlight: Malzahar
Malzahar is a strong counter pick in Patch 10.13 for his ability to effectively deal with champions such as Talon, Fizz and Yasuo. His ultimate, Nether Grasp (R), easily locks down mobile assassin champions and allows his team to find a kill before the stun duration ends. Malzahar lands in the B tier because of his lack of burst damage and struggles against fellow mages who can poke him down from a distance. While Malzahar isn't a champion that can be played every game, he is an important tool to have in your champion pool for his strong performance against potent picks in the mid lane.
