League of Legends Patch 10.18 focuses heavily on the professional play and upper echelon. These five changes take a look at which tweaks Riot Games is planning for the upcoming patch. While most of the changes in this patch are focused on pro play due to Worlds being right around the corner, there are still a number of changes that will affect all ranks.

Lets take a look at the five biggest changes coming in Patch 10.18!

League of Legends Patch 10.18: 5 Biggest Changes

1. Twitch May Be Back

Do you smell that? It's everyone's favorite crossbow-wielding rat scurrying back into the meta. Twitch is set to receive a substantial buff to his ultimate, Spray and Pray (R). This buff decreases the damage reduction from each bolt of his ultimate from -20% to -5% and caps the reduction at 30%. This will bring back the good old days of hearing that raspy "Hi!" before Twitch pops out of nowhere and melts your team.

2. Malzahar Gets a Makeover

In Patch 10.18, Malzahar will be receiving a visual update to some of his abilities to improve their visual clarity. Call of the Void (Q) will be receiving some visual indicators to better understand what it's hitbox is while the base skin will get an update to the rest of his visuals. Malzahar's Q has been an issue for years, and its great to see Riot Games finally address it.

3. When Tryndamere Becomes Un-Undying

Another quick visual update that's going to improve the game a lot is that Tryndamere's Undying Rage (R) will cause him to flash white for an instant before the effect ends. This will add better visual clarity to when enemies can attack him and actually expect to find a kill. The ability is sometimes hard to track in the chaos of a team fight and this change will make it a little easier to deal with Tryndamere.

4. Guardian Gets Ganked

Riot Games has concluded that Guardian is a little too powerful--and they're right. It feels like the de facto choice for tank supports, which is never good for the game. The point of the rune system was to diversify builds for the game rather than create a static build path. To tone down Guardian, Riot is tuning down the shield ratio from .25 AP + .12 bonus health to .15 AP + .09 bonus health. This will make many champions think about Aftershock or entirely other rune trees instead.

5. Shen Gets A Slight Nerf

Shen's passive will be receiving a nerf this patch that will detract from his trading power a bit. His shield is being lowered from 70-121 to 60-111 in Patch 10.18. This shouldn't hurt him enough to take him out of the S tier, but it should make him feel fairer to play around instead of the dominant force that he currently is.
