League of Legends Renata Abilities Detailed
By Yunah Elsner
We've detailed Renata's abilities in League of Legends. Riot Games announced the new support champion on Feb. 1, and previously mentioned in the Champion roadmaps that she would be released shortly after the new AD Carry, Zeri.
Renata Glasc is Zaun's wealthiest chem-baroness and business magnate who built her power by tying everyone’s interests to her own. According to her lore, anybody who tries to defy Renata lives to regret it. Renata is seen wearing an expensive white suit and a mask. Her most notable features are her purple, glowing eyes and her chemical-infused robotic arm.
League of Legends Renata Abilities
Renata will be released on Feb. 16, which is when Patch 12.4 will go live. Before players try out the new champion, here is a preview of her abilities.
1. Passive - Leverage
Renata's basic attacks mark her enemies and deal bonus damage. Damage from Renata’s allies consumes the mark, dealing additional damage.
2. Q - Handshake
Renata launches a missile from her robotic arm at enemies. The first target she hits is rooted. Renata can recast her ability to throw her enemy anywhere. If Renata roots and throws an enemy champion, this deals damage and can stun as well.
3. W - Bailout
Bailout grants an allied champion or Renata attack speed and move speed toward enemies. If the ally gets a takedown on an enemy champion, the buff duration resets.
If the ally would die while Bailout is still active, their health is set back to full. However, they begin burning to death over 3 seconds. The ally can stop the burn by getting a champion takedown before they die.
4. E - Loyalty Program
Renata sends out chemtech rockets that shield allies while damaging and slowing enemies. The rockets also apply their effects around her on cast and in an explosion at max range.
5. R - Hostile Takeover
Renata sends out a cloud of chemicals that causes enemies to go Berserk. This increases their attack speed and forces them to basic attack anything around them. Berserk enemies prioritize attacking their own allies, then neutral units, then Renata Glasc's team and then Renata Glasc herself.
