League of Legends Spirit Bonds is a unique narrative experience featuring several spirits including Yasuo, Vayne, Riven and Teemo. Players can navigate through interactive stories within the League of Legends client as well as complete in-game missions to build favor with spirits and earn exclusive in-game rewards.

League of Legends Spirit Bonds: Everything You Need to Know

League of Legends spirit bonds were introduced as part of the Spirit Blossom event taking place on Summoner's Rift between Jul. 22 and Aug. 24. In order to be eligible to gain favor with each spirit you must first click on them within the spirit bond tab of the in-game client and complete a conversation.

Earning Favor

Once you have completed a conversation with a spirit you are ready to begin earning favor. Favor can be earned with spirits simply by playing games. Favor can be gained regardless of whether you win or lose with more favor being earned with wins. Favor can be earned in all live game modes including Teamfight Tactics and Nexus Blitz with the most favor being earned for a victory in Teamfight Tactics.

Champion-Specific Tasks

There are nine champion spirits within the spirit bond realm. Each champion favors a specific unique task which upon completion will earn favor. Teemo favors vision meaning players who earn a vision score above 35 will earn four favor with the yordle. After speaking to a spirit your current favor and rank is displayed as well as the rewards attainable by favor progression.

Rewards

Rewards are given out for achieving ranks C through S with any spirit. As players achieve higher ranks they earn spirit blossom event tokens. Achieving an S rank favor with any spirit unlocks a special mission viewable within the missions tab. Completion of this mission will yield blue essence and 1 spirit petal which can be redeemed for unique champion emotes.

Spirit petal acquisition becomes harder with each petal earned so be sure to select the spirit whose emote you want the most first. Those who purchase the spirit blossom event pass for 1,650 Riot Points can earn unlimited spirit blossom tokens before the event ends on Aug. 24. Holders of the spirit blossom event pass also earn more tokens for gaining favor tiers with each spirit.

Event Tokens are arguably the most desirable reward for strengthening spirit bonds as they can be redeemed for prestige skins. Players who earn 2,000 event tokens can unlock Spirit Blossom Teemo Prestige Edition. Players can trade 2,200 event tokens for 100 prestige tokens to unlock prestige edition skins, icons and borders for several other champions including Zyra, Zoe and Senna.
