League of Legends Worlds 2022 Play-In Groups

The groups that will be playing at the League of Legends Worlds Play-In have been revealed. The 12 teams announced will be competing in the opening games of Worlds.

The World Play-In stage will take place from Sept. 29 to Oct. 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City. The play-in stage consists of League's minor regions against the lower-qualifying teams.

The top four teams will advance to the group stage of Worlds in New York City.

Group B

• DRX
• Royal Never Give Up
• Saigon Buffalo
• MAD Lions
• Istanbul Wildcats
• Isurus

Each region will send a team to the play-in stage, but Europe will be sending two of their teams. After the four teams from play-ins are decided, they will advance to the tournament's main event where 12 more automatically qualified teams will await them.

• Sept. 29 - Oct. 4: Play-Ins at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City
• Oct. 7 - 10: Group Stage at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City
• Oct. 13 - 16: Group Stage at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City
• Oct. 20 - 23: Quarterfinals at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City
• Oct. 29 - 30: Semifinals at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia
• Nov. 5: Finals at Chase Center in San Francisco, California
