How to Get Mega Blastoise in Pokemon GO

Mega Blastoise can be in your satchel due to the newly released Special Research tasks and story, detailed here. If you're at least level five, you can take part in this event. Among the included Pokemon are Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Blastoise.

As a Water type Pokemon, Mega Blastoise is most vulnerable against Grass and Electric types. Despite this, its strongest moves in offense and defense are Water Gun and Hydro Cannon. Trainers can find a shiny version of this Pokemon and its regular form, which will appear purple in color. This Pokemon's Kanto Pokedex number is #9.

Keep in mind that Mega Evolved Pokemon stay in their form for eight hours. After this, they will revert back to their regular form. Due to these circumstances, it may be smart to wait on Mega Evolving your Pokemon until you plan on going to Raids and battles.
