MLB The Show 22 All-Star Game Content: What to Expect
The MLB All-Star Game is right around the corner and that means another chance at rewards in MLB The Show 22. The All-Star Game is set on July 19 with the Home Run Derby taking place the day prior.
In previous years, the All-Star Game Content has been a fan favorite. Last year, there was a card for one All-Star on each time. Additionally, players had the chance to earn players who either participated in the Home Run Derby or players who did well in the All-Star Game.
As of now, MLB The Show and San Diego Studios have not yet officially released what the All-Star content is going to be. But, we can speculate based on content released in previous years.
MLB The Show 22 All-Star Game Content: What to Expect
One area that is almost a guarantee is that each team will have one player earn an All-Star-themed card. As of now, we cannot guess who those players will be since the All-Stars have not yet been released. Thankfully, the MLB is different than the other leagues, whereas other leagues have teams that have zero All-Stars, but in the MLB, each team has one.
Next up, we can expect to see rewards from both the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game. Last year, we saw players that participated in the Home Run Derby available in packs. Players who progressed further into the derby earned higher overall cards. For the All-Star Game cards, we saw the ASGMVP, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., earning a 99 overall card. This year, we can expect to see something similar to last.
Lastly, we can expect to see a program and a collection dedicated to the All-Star Game. In this program, you can earn each player from each team, with other legends. Last year, we saw Ryne Sandburg, Yoenis Cespedes and Prince Fielder have cards available to earn through collections. This year, we can expect to see something similar with former All-Star Game or Home Run Derby heroes.
