Mortal Kombat 11 1.04

Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 version has arrived in the latest update to the game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest in the long-running fighting game series known primarily for its cartoonishly exaggerated violence. Developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Mortal Kombat 11 released April 23 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Players can once again choose from a colorful cast of characters, with Mortal Kombat 11 boasting 25 playable characters at launch with three characters new to the series: Cetrion, Geras and Kollector.

In addition to the customary brutal one-on-one fighting mode, Mortal Kombat 11 also boasts additional game modes and challenges to keep players entertained when they look for more than the base fighter experience.

It is these additional modes which were primarily targeted in the latest patch that updated the game to version 1.04.

Mortal Kombat 11 1.04 patch notes have yet to be officially released by developer NetherRealm Studios beyond generic "General Bug Fixes" notifications.

Two bugs confirmed to be patched out in this patch are two known glitches used to exploit the game.

The first is the Krypt head farming glitch. Players had been able to cheat the Fatality counter for each character by using the shrines in the Krypt to open and access hidden chests before intended. Players will now have to follow the proper method to access the rewards and unlock the Skull Kabob achievement.

The second is to address a Soul farming exploit wherein players used Skeleton Keys to open Soul-rewarding doors but intentionally lost connection to the server. Doing so kept the key and door locked while also gaining the Souls. Repeating this process helped players earn thousands of souls in an hour until the patch removed the exploit.

Mortal Kombat 11 has been criticized for its use of grinding and farming, which players feel is excessive. Another point of contention is the inclusion of character-specific gear which requires much exploration of the Krypt and is a major time sink without the use of a guide which details precise locations.
