NBA 2K21 Rookies: 5 Best in the Game So Far
The NBA 2K21 rookies make up one of the best reasons to pick up the latest title in the best-selling basketball simulation franchise.
Especially with the new gameplay engine on next-gen consoles, it's easy to catch posters or drop defenders' ankles as long as the player in question has good enough ratings. Here are the top five best rookies to ball out with in NBA 2K21.
NBA 2K21 Rookies: 5 Best in the Game So Far
1. LaMelo Ball
The rookie who's arguably put up the most impressive performance so far in the young NBA season, LaMelo Ball is an immediate highlight machine as well in NBA 2K21. Standing in at 6'7" with his motion captured signature moves and face scan, the youngest Ball bro has been recreated perfectly in NBA 2K to throw lobs alongside and against the greats of the NBA.
2. James Wiseman
In NBA 2k21, players can realize what the Golden State Warriors are hoping James Wiseman develops into months and maybe even years from now—a modern big man that can both put in on the floor and attack in space from inside and out.
3. Anthony Edwards
The number one pick in the 2020 NBA Draft had to make this list somehow, right? While Anthony Edwards is flying a bit under the radar coming off the bench in cramped a Minnesota Timberwolves rotation, he is undeniably talented both in real life and in game as a 3-level scorer.
4. Killian Hayes
While Tyrese Haliburton has made a strong case for the most impressive rookie guard alongside LaMelo Ball, his face scan and signature animations in game leave a lot to be desired from 2K. Although Killian Hayes' smooth handle and shot have yet to translate much in the real league, he's a nice alternative to play with in NBA 2K21.
5. Obi Toppin
Surprise, surprise. Perhaps the best dunker in the draft class, Obi Toppin is definitely a great rookie to use in NBA 2K21. While Knicks fans hope he can step it up in the real season soon, he can definitely take over in the video game immediately.
