This mid-range partial spellcaster is known for its fiery toolkit and high damage abilities that have the potential to leave enemies burned to a crisp. However, to unlock its true potential, players will need to successfully craft a build that will carry them wherever they need to go.

There are essentially two ways to build this class: weapons-based or "spell"-based.

The primary skills players should prioritize are Heatwave, Thermal Bomb, Overheat. Feed the Flames may also serve the player well situationally or if they're the type to focus down and burst one enemy at a time. It also makes for a good self-heal while interrupting the flow of combat. Additionally, players can pick Volcanic Rounds if they're interested in a less magic-like experience. Meanwhile, the three aforementioned skills are used to deal AoE damage or inflict additional opponents with Burn or Ignite.

The most popular gear choice is Acari—likely for its equally fiery lineage. The best mods include Twice as Hot and Rejuvenation armor mods for extra burn damage and more survivability if players opted out of Feed the Flames. Players may also want to pick up Perpetuum Mobile or Scrap Grenade weapon mods to aid Volcanic Rounds.
