Overwatch: A New Hero Kunoichi

A new hero kunoichi is being talked about in the Overwatch community right now and is shaking up players with who she is. Rumors and speculation have it that she'll be a ninja hero based in Japan.

In a letter posted to Blizzard's official Overwatch website, a woman named Asa writes to her husband, a blacksmith name Toshiro Yamagami. She speaks of the Shimada syndicate — and Hanzo and Genji's family — and refers multiple times to foxes. Fans theorize this could hint at the character of the next hero to join Overwatch's line up.
The last hero announced for the Overwatch franchise was Echo, a damage hero. This next hero is expected to be the last one released for Overwatch's lineup before Overwatch 2's lineup starts to emerge.
It has been confirmed that all heroes in Overwatch will be transferred to Overwatch 2's roster. Some in the Overwatch community hope the new Kunoichi hero is not a DPS because there are so many already, but it seems unlikely as she is described as wielding a sword as her weapon of choice.
