Petuaria Ruins AC Valhalla Key: How to Open the Locked Door

Petuaria Ruins in AC Valhalla has a hidden ability book and key needed to progress further through the area.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla has several treasures locked away that require the player to imply an assassin's cunning and quick wit to access. From throwing oil jars to strategic parkour, when it comes to slipping into places they shouldn't be, nobody in this game is better suited than Eivor.

Petuaria Ruins AC Valhalla Key

The Petuaria Ruins key is located behind a barred door along with an ability book which will teach Eivor the Poisonous Powder Trap ability.

1. To get the key, players will have to find an oil jar and carry it toward the stone wall on the side of the door.
2. They should be able to see a large crevice that they can slip through with the jar.
3. Once inside, they will find a ledge to the right that provides a point to throw the jar down.
4. This will blow open the barred down and provide access to the book and key.

Once claimed, the book will teach Eivor the aforementioned ability and key can be used to open the other locked door within the ruins.

Some players have reported that this door cannot be accessed without the quest, "Road to Hamartia," thus blocking their progression further through the ruins.
