April Community Day is coming up in Pokemon GO. Here's what you need to know.
April Community Day is on April 23 beginning from 2 -5 p.m. local time. Community Days in Pokemon GO are an opportunity for Trainers to get unique Pokemon and items. In 2020, Community Days were six hours long, but they are returning to the three hour format to increase engagement within the community.
Here's what else is happening throughout April Community Day.
Pokemon GO: What to Know about April Community Day
Stufful is making its Pokemon GO debut during this event with a chance to encounter a shiny Stufful. If you evolve Stufful into Bewear during the event or up to two hours after, you will gain the Charged Attack Drain Punch move to use in battle.
Here are the Community Day event bonuses:
- Catch XP is enhanced by three times
- Twice as likely to get Stufful XL candy from catching Stufful
- Activated Lure Modules will last for three hours
- One additional special trade
- Double Catch Candy
- Activated Incense will last for three hours
- Snapshots taken will provide a mystery reward
- Stardust amounts are reduced by half to trade
Make sure to activate these items and partake in these bonuses during the event to get the desired effect. There will also be a Community Day Special Research Story and Event Bundles which will cost money to receive. A free Event Bundle will be available in the shop, though, that includes 30 Ultra Balls.
There are also Group Play bonuses; work with others to unlock bonuses, like using one Lure to catch multiple Pokemon with others. This will reward you with an increase in XP, as Pokemon caught near the Lured PokeStop will go from three times the amount to four times for 30 minutes.
Stickers can also be received from PokeStops, Gifts, and through purchases.
