Pokémon GO Sizes: XXS and XXL Pokémon Explained
New Pokémon sizes have entered Pokémon GO. Here's what you need to know about the XXS and XXL Pokémon.
Niantic have introduced some different sized Pokémon into Pokémon GO, giving trainers more to track and capture in order to fill out their Pokédex. So far, the XXS and XXL sized Pokémon have been observed in Poochyena, Mightyena, and Mawile.
In the cases of Poochyena and Mawile, trainers may encounter a Shiny one.
Once you catch at least three of any one Pokémon, your Pokédex will showcase records for the largest, smallest, heaviest, and lightest that you have caught.
So, how do you spot these new-sized Pokémon?
How to Spot XXS and XXL Pokémon in Pokémon GO
When trainers encounter either XXS or XXL Pokémon out in the wild, they'll be treated to a new encounter animation. Additionally, these Pokémon are visually larger or smaller than their standard sizes when you observe them in an encounter or adventure with them as your buddy.
Trainers who catch Pokémon smaller or larger than the Pokémon than they caught previously can enjoy a new celebratory message when they break their record.
Trainers need to catch at least three of any particular Pokémon to set a record for that Pokémon.
