Predicting How Many Legends Will be Released in Apex Legends in 2024
A new year means new Legends in Apex Legends, and we predict Respawn Entertainment will deliver multiple new characters to the game.
Apex Legends has introduced new Legends every year since the game burst onto the Battle Royale scene in 2019. Although a few of the more recent additions, like Ballistic and Newcastle, never caught on, other Legends, like Conduit, quickly found themselves atop the pick rate rankings even months after their release. There is nothing better than a fun, innovative, good Legend in Apex Legends, and hopefully, more are on the horizon in 2024.
Check out how many Legends we think are coming in the next year.
Predicting How Many Legends Will be Released in Apex Legends in 2024
We predict there will be at least three new Legends released in Apex Legends throughout 2024. There are always a handful of new Legends that come each calendar year; in 2023 alone, we got Ballistic, Revenant Reborn, and Conduit. Even though Revenant Reborn was just a rework of Revenant, the Legend's new abilities, Heirloom, and Prestige skin made the mercenary feel fresh.
Going back even further to 2022, 2021, and 2020, the developers released four new Legends each year. Although there could be a huge drop off in 2024, it is unlikely. In fact, a recent post on X from reliable Apex Legends leaker, Osvaldatore , revealed a list of codenames for future Legends coming to the Battle Royale, including:
- "Gibraltar v1"
- "Tinkerer"
- "Flux"
- "Lifeline Reborn"
- "Cave"
- "Artemis"
It is quite possible we see a few of these Legends in 2024. So far, the only semi-concrete release date for a Legend on this list is Lifeline Reborn, a rework of Lifeline, allegedly coming in Season 22, per Osvaldatore.
Did the Apex Legends Season 20 New Legends Leak?
Apex Legends Season 20, starting on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, could very well feature a new Legend. In fact, there are two leaked Legends that have yet to drop in the Battle Royale: Jester and Scryer.
Both Legends' abilities and gameplay footage leaked years ago, but neither have made their way to Apex Legends...yet. Popular Apex Legends content creator, Thordan Smash, theorized their possible launch in 2024 in his recent YouTube video.
Until more concreate leaks or announcements drop, though, it is impossible to know for certain how many and which Legends are coming our way in 2024.
