Prometheus Station Mass Effect 2: Everything You Need to Know

Prometheus Station is an area added as part of the Overlord DLC in Mass Effect 2, and is one of three stations that the Shepard must override in order to gain access to the VI. To fight your way through this downed Geth ship and activate the override, you'll need a combination of wit and tactics. Here's a guide on how to complete this mission.

You'll obtain this quest from Dr. Gavin Archer after clearing out Hermes Station, as one of three stations you'll need to override. You'll be able to make your way to Prometheus Station from Vulcan Station by following the arrows.

Getting into the station is rather difficult, since the ship has a vast array of defenses. In particular, there is a powerful cannon on the ship that can down the Hammerhead in one shot. It's protected by a shield, which is powered by several generators that each have their own shields. Your goal is to break each of the generators, and then the cannon, without getting hit.

The trick here is to use the cannon to your advantage to break the shields on the generators. Hover close to the generators until you see the red lines from the cannon target the area around you, then dodge out of the way. The cannon will strike the shield, destroying it easily, and then you can shoot the generator to finish the job. Once you destroy all four generators, the shield protecting the cannon will be down, and you can shoot the cannon to take care of it.

Next, move into the ship. After you make your way through the ship's various rooms, you'll have to solve a puzzle to reach the control station, where your objective lies. The puzzle involves moving platforms around to connect yourself to your destination. After you reach the control station, activate the override sequence and be prepared to fight your way out.

The enemies you'll face include Geth Hunters, Geth Troopers, Geth Rocket Troopers, a Geth Destroyer on the bridge, and a Geth Prime in the entrance room where you first saw it enclosed in a shield. All these enemies are shielded, so make sure you have powers that can take down their shields quickly. In the final room, try taking out all the smaller Geth first, before focusing on the Geth Prime.

Once you're done, make your way out and board the Hammerhead to claim your reward.
