PUBG Update 7.3 Adds Vehicle Changes: Everything We Know

PUBG Update 7.3 adds some vehicle changes to increase survivability and realism as PUBG Corp address player complaints.

Players complained about vehicles exploding in an instant. In reality, people would have a small amount of time before it explodes.

1. Explosive Mechanic Changes

  • When a vehicle reaches zero (0) HP it will shut down the engine and set on fire.
  • Players will have five (5) seconds before the vehicle explodes.
  • Vehicles can still explode from C4 and Red Zone or any other large radial damage
  • Exploding vehicles will now have both linear and angular velocity.
  • No additional collision damage when vehicle is rolled over.

2. Vehicle Damage Changes

  • Damage Zones are introduced for these vehicles: Buggy, Dacia, UAZ, Mirado, Pickup, Rony and Zima
  • All other vehicles will receive normal damage regardless of where they are hit.
  • Damage Zones are damage multipliers on three areas of a vehicle.
  • Engines which are usually located at the front will take 100% damage.
  • The body which includes front and back doors and the rear and bottom sides of the vehicle will only receive 75% of damage.
  • The roof which includes roof panel, roof pillars, seats and mirrors will only take 50% of damage.

3. Boat Damage Changes

  • Boats also have a five (5) static damage reduction.

PUBG Update 7.3 will be available for players on June 10.

PUBG Update 7.3 will then hit the live serves a week later on June 17.
