Radahn Boss Guide: How to Defeat Radahn in Elden Ring
Starscourge Radahn is one of the most powerful bosses in Elden Ring, and serves as a significant chump check in the game. His long range arrow attacks can be very difficult to dodge, his enormous size makes camera control nightmarish, and his attacks are both massive and painful. If you're struggling against Radahn, you are not alone. Use these tips and should find the fight significantly more manageable.
Radahn Strategy Guide
There are several ways to approach the Radahn boss fight, but if you're simply desperate to complete the fight, we're going to get you through it.
Your first objective should be to summon as many NPC allies as you possibly can. Summon Torrent and make your way to every summon sign in reach. The more NPCs on the field, the more aggression will be drawn away from you during the fight. Even if these NPCs die during the fight, their summon signs will reappear, allowing you to bring them back in as reinforcements in the same encounter. Make sure to keep your allied forces up.
Of course, all this running around will require you to dodge some of Radahn's ranged attacks. Some are easier to dodge than others. If you're far enough away, Radahn will usually stick to his Gravity Arrows attack, in which he charges a single shot and blasts it at you with high speed. The easiest way I've found to dodge this attack is to use Torrent's double jump and time it such that you are falling through the air when he fires the shot. This makes the window in which you're safe from the shot as forgiving as possible.
Alternatively, you can use the debris around the arena as cover. Each will block a singe Gravity Arrow before collapsing.
If Radahn fires his Rain Arrows attack, which homes in on you, simply ride Torrent perpendicular to Radahn. You should be able to outrun the arrows.
Your loop should be riding around the arena dodging these shots and summoning NPCs over and over. This is the safest and simplest way to kill Radahn, and can be sped along using arrows or spells.
When Radahn reaches around half HP, he'll disappear up into the sky. This is a good opportunity to heal up, but watch the skies — he'll come crashing back down as a giant fireball in a few seconds. If you're riding Torrent, you should be able to get away from his area of impact with relative ease. This is also a good chance to summon any NPCs you can.
Repeat this strategy long enough and Radahn will go down, unlocking some in-game content and bringing you one step closer to becoming Elden Lord.
