Risk of Rain fans were pleasantly surprised to see Risk of Rain 2 arrive in the Steam store last Thursday. Risk of Rain 2, which is currently in early access, builds upon the gameplay fans loved in the first game. Risk of Rain 2 includes an extra dimension, randomized environments and enemies, and up to four player co-op play.

One of the items that has Risk of Rain 2 players confused is the Hellfire Tincture. How do you get it and what does it do?

The Hellfire Tincture can be purchased from Lunar Plants using the currency Lunar Coins. Lunar Coins only drop randomly from defeated enemies. There’s no good way to farm them besides just playing the game more. Before you can purchase the Hellfire Tincture, you’ll need to complete the achievement “Multikill,” which requires you to kill 15 enemies simultaneously.

Here’s what the Hellfire Tincture does, according to its official description:

"Ignite ALL characters within 8m. Deal 5% of your maximum health/second as burning to yourself. The burn is 0.5x stronger on allies, and 24x stronger on enemies."
