Runerigus Evolution Location, Rarity, Stats in Pokemon Sword and Shield
By Max Mallow
Runerigus evolution location is one of the most intriguing ways Game Freak has chosen to trigger a Pokemon's evolution.
An evolved form of Yamask, Runerigus is a new Pokemon tied to the Galar region. Yamask first appeared in Generation V during Pokemon Black and White. Originally, it evolved into Cofagrigus although now there's a second form unique to Galar.
Here's everything you need to know about Runerigus.
Runerigus Location and Rarity: Pokemon Sword and Shield
Runerigus can't be found in the wild, but it is available in Max Raid Battles in multiple locations inside the Wild Area. Those areas include:
- Bridge Field
- Dusty Bowl
- Giant's Mirror
- Rolling Fields
- South Lake Miloch
- Stony Wilderness
- Watchtower Ruins
Runerigus Evolution: Pokemon Sword and Shield
Runerigus does not have an evolved form. To evolve a Galarian Yamask into Runerigus, players must first have their Yamask take 49 or more damage in a single battle. Then, walk under the stone sculpture in the Dusty Bowl to have it evolve. Convoluted, yet unique.
