Shiny Smeargle Odds Pokémon GO
The annual Festival of Colors event in Pokémon GO currently running gives players a small, but valuable, window for catching shiny Smeargle.
Smeargle, the Normal-type artist Pokémon, is a Pokémon in Pokémon GO that already has proven to be evasive with an incredibly unconventional encounter method. Players must use their GO Snapshot feature in order to have the chance of having one photobomb them, and after the photo is taken, then the Pokémon will appear in the over-world.
With the chance of even maybe having one photobomb the player, one can only imagine the difficult that would show itself at the prospect of finding a shiny Smeargle. As mentioned before, the shiny iteration of this sneaky Pokémon is only available during specific times as dictated by the developers.
Shiny Smeargle Odds Pokémon GO
As previously established, Smeargle is definitely not a Pokémon players can expect to find on a daily stroll, but players can expect to find the normal rate of seeing this Pokémon appear during the photo taking of their own Pokémon to be multiplied by five during the course of this event.
Finding a shiny Smeargle is about a one in 500 chance, so players will have to make it count if they are hoping to find this Pokémon in their game with their in-game camera.
The Festival of Colors event ends March 14, and so does the possibility of finding a shiny Smeargle until the next opportunity presents itself. Once the next window for finding a shiny Smeargle opens, you'll be able to find about it here.
