Fans waiting for an extended look at FF7 Rebirth will have to wait until Sony State of Play comes back on Feb. 6, 2024.
The Sony State of Play for January 2024 revealed countless announcements about upcoming projects. From the Stellar Blade release date to a new trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake, the livestream provided an in-depth look, featuring exclusive gameplay footage, at multiple titles coming in 2024. The event even featured a surprise release of Silent Hill: The Short Message, an experimental, free-to-play addition to the popular horror franchise.
Despite all the exciting announcements and teasers, the livestream failed to reveal any groundbreaking news about one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2024: Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. Fortunately, another State of Play is on the way.
Sony State of Play Coming Back on Feb. 6 for FF7 Rebirth
Sony State of Play is coming back on Feb. 6, 2024 to reveal an exclusive, extended look at Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. The livestream kicks off at 6:30 ET next Tuesday, just three weeks before the game releases.
The announcement came just before the end of the January State of Play showcase. Shawne Benson, Director of Portfolio, Global Third Party Relations at Sony revealed, "Square Enix will be sharing new gameplay details along with exciting news you won't want to miss."
The short teaser did not reveal exactly what those new details are, but fans should try their best to tune into the stream to hear the news live and see an exclusive look at Cloud as he explores the world outside of Midgar.

To watch the Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth Sony State of Play, fans must tune in to the livestream on PlayStation's YouTube or Twitch channels. If you cannot watch the broadcast live, the full VOD will be uploaded to either channel after the livestream concludes.
