With the turn of the new year right around the corner, Steam has launched a new way for its users to celebrate and chronicle their activity on the platform over the last 12 months — Steam Replay.

As seen with popular video games such as Call of Duty: Warzone, as well as other virtual market campaigns like Spotify Wrapped, Steam Replay is a way to let users view a compilation of data about their activity on Steam throughout the past year and invites them to share it on social media.

Here's a breakdown of how you can get your own Steam Replay 2022 overview.

Steam Replay 2022: How Does it Work?

To get your own Steam Replay 2022, users simply need to head over to store.steampowered.com/replay and log in with their Steam account.

Once that's done, the page will present a wrap-up of your time on Steam in 2022, from your top games this year, to how and when you spent your most playtime.

After checking out the highlights, you can switch the page's privacy settings to enable link sharing, or hit the Share button to generate images of certain sections of the Steam Replay in layouts that can easily be posted on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest and Twitter.

Per Steam, Steam Replay 2022 includes all of your playtime between the first second of Jan. 1 and the last second of Dec. 14. Steam Replay does not include any playtime played in offline mode or when disconnected from the internet. Steam Replay also excludes time spent running tools and other types of non-game software, as well as games that are unreleased or disabled.
