Steelers Theme Team Madden 21: Every Player Included

The Steelers Madden 21 Theme team is as good as its on-field product. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the only undefeated NFL team at 6-0 after an incredible win against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7.

Let's take a look at their Madden 21 theme team created by MightyWings on Muthead. The team has an 88 OVR led by their 89 rated defense and then their 87 rated offense.

At first glance, the usuals of 93 OVR Barry Sanders and 91 OVR Andre Johnson are in as starters. They have been talked about in every theme team so far, so we won't spend too much time on them. But the rest of the offense does have a couple of studs that are actual Steelers past or present players.

Rookie Wide Receiver, Chase Claypool out of Notre Dame, has been on an absolute tear this season. Against the dreadful Philadelphia Eagles, Claypool had three receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. For those stats, he earned a 91 OVR card in the Madden 21 Week 5 Team of the Week.

The other offensive stud is 92 OVR QB, Michael Vick. Having Vick as a starting quarterback opens up a ton of options for offensive plays. Different variations of read options to incorporate Sanders and 90 OVR Jerome Bettis can have an opponent's defense in shambles quickly. An occasional End Around play to take advantage of Claypool's 92 rated speed is another possibility before thinking about throwing down the field.

Blocking for the run is going to a problem on the left side of the offensive line with a 70 OVR Left Guard and 79 OVR Left Tackle. Having a 90 OVR TE in Heath Miller will help clean that up a little bit, and the rest of the line 83 OVR, 84 OVR, and 86 OVR will hold up the other side of the line.

On the flip side of the ball, this Steelers theme team has a bunch of great players that will give offensive opponents problems. 95 OVR Sam Mills, who appears on nearly every theme team, is the highest-rated player on defense.

Mills combines with 91 OVR T.J. Watt and 86 OVR Bud Dupree to make one of the most formidable linebacking corps in Madden 21. Watt earned his 91 OVR card from the Week 1 Team of the Week pack. Any pass over the middle of the field is likely to result in a fumble or interception when these guys are all on the field together.

The Steelers' theme team secondary is also one of the best in Madden 21. The lowest-rated starter is 89 OVR FS Minkah Fitzpatrick. 93 OVR Troy Polamula is the highest-rated member of the secondary from his Most Feared card. 90 OVR CB Rod Woodson and 90 OVR CB Mike Hilton round out an impressive secondary unit that should any deep ball.

On the line, 92 OVR DT Mean Joe Greene will be enough to make opponents get the ball out quickly or think twice before trying an inside zone run play. Unfortunately, he will draw a ton of double teams because the rest of the line, 83 OVR and 84 OVR, is not enough to divert attention away from him.

Overall, this Steelers Madden 21 theme team is one of the best at this point in the season. Opposing offenses are going to have issues throwing the ball down the field, while the linebacking group should prevent short passes and stop runs if they get through the line. The offense has a lot of read option plays that could eat up big chunks of the field and keep the defense guessing.
