The Tap Tap Tappity Tap Pokémon GO Special Research story event is live, granting trainers access to a unique experience and an opportunity to access or earn limited-time rewards.

Here's how to complete the Tap... Tap... Tappity-Tap... Special Research to get Galarian Mr. Mime and its Evolution, Mr. Rime.

Tap Tap Tappity Tap Pokémon GO: How to Complete

Thanks to Professor Willow's keen ears, Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime, have been discovered for the first time in the world of Pokémon GO.

To gain access to the Tap... Tap... Tappity-Tap... Special Research, trainers must buy a $7.99 ticket from the in-game shop before Sunday, Dec. 20, 6 p.m. local time, and open Pokémon GO before the event closes two hours later at 8 p.m. local time.

After receiving the Special Research, trainers can complete it at any time, but Niantic recommends trainers to try their best to get it done during the event for the optimal gameplay experience.

Here are the Research Tasks and their rewards for the Tap...Tap...Tappity Tap... Special Research event.

Part 1 - Rewards: 2000 Stardust, 3 Rare Candies, Jynx Encounter

• Catch 15 Ice-type Pokémon - Reward: Snorunt Encounter
• Make 3 Great Curveball Throws - Reward: Alolan Vulpix Encounter
• Transfer 10 Pokémon - Reward: 3 Incense

Part 2 - Rewards: 2000 Stardust, 30 Poké Balls, Chimecho Encounter

• Catch 15 Pokémon - Reward: Jigglypuff Encounter
• Spin a PokéStop or Gym - Reward: Whismur Encounter
• Use 10 Berries to Help Catch Pokémon - Reward: 3000 XP

Part 3 - Rewards: 2000 Stardust, 1 Poffin, Galarian Mr. Mime Encounter

• Catch 15 Psychic-Type Pokémon - Reward: 30 Ultra Balls
• Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws in a Row - Reward: 3 Premium Raid Passes
• Power Up Pokémon 3 Times - Reward: 3000 XP

Part 4 - Rewards: 2,000 Stardust, 2 Glacial Lures, Galarian Mr. Mime Encounter

• Earn a Heart With Your Buddy - Reward: 30 Mr. Mime Candies
