Valorant Agent 25 Leaked: Codename, Role, Release Date
A new Valorant Agent leaked ahead of Episode 8 Act 1, and we have everything you need to know about Agent 25.
Valorant Episode 8 promises many significant changes to Riot Games' FPS, including updates to the competitive map rotation, Agent pool, and for the first time, weapons category. Icebox is set to return in place of Haven, and the Outlaw Sniper is joining the game as the first new weapon since the Valorant beta. After a disappointing Valorant Episode 7 Act 3, the updates are a welcome sight, even if Icebox is incredibly unpopular.
It seems only right that the Episode contains a new Agent as well, but who will they be? Check out everything we know so far about Agent 25 in Valorant.
Valorant Agent 25 Codename Leaked
According to reliable Valorant leaker, ValorLeaks, the new Valorant Agent is codenamed "SmokeDancer." The information came after the leaker posted an image of an upcoming Episode 8 Act 1 Battle Pass Player Card that teases the new addition to the game.
Both the Player Card and the codename hint that the Agent is a Controller. Controllers in Valorant use their smokes to eliminate enemy lines of sight and take over areas on the map with a deadly efficiency.
The last Controller to join Valorant was Harbor, all the way back in 2022. Now it seems that Harbor, Brimstone, Viper, Omen, and Astra are getting a new friend.
Valorant Agent 25 Release Date Leaked
Valorant Agent 25 will likely be released in Episode 8 Act 2, set to launch sometime in March 2024. Like other Agent releases, SmokeDancer will headline their own Act.
The community has been less than thrilled with the two last Agents Riot Games dropped, so the pressure is on to deliver an Agent that can actually break into the competitive meta, unlike Deadlock and Iso. It will be difficult, though, for a new Controller to be as impactful as Viper or Brimstone.
Stay tuned for more updates on the rumored new Agent as Episode 8 Act 2 draws closer in 2024.
