Valorant Devs Reject More Jett Nerfs After Recent 3.06 Patch
Despite Jett receiving some nerfs in the recent 3.06 update, some players are calling for a few more.
After her spotlight in the Valorant Masters Berlin, Jett has been dominating the agent pick rates. While Riot Games have tried previously to nerf the Korean duelist, she's still remained a popular choice for many. In Valorant's recent Patch 3.06. Jett received some more adjustments in an attempt to more effectively balance her in-game presence.
The patch saw changes to Jett's Bladestorm. The patch notes read, "we’ve seen Jett’s right-click be very unpredictable and feel that it’s confusing to have different damage rules than the left-click. This change should unify how both modes of fire work and provide a little more predictability if Jett decides to go for the single kill as opposed to chaining."
Despite these changes, some players have been asking Riot to also adjust her Tailwind. Suggestions have included only allowing Jett to dash in the direction in which she is facing. Riot developers aren't completely on board with the idea just yet, instead remaining content with the most recent changes.
In a Twitter post, developer Ryan Cousart said "my personal take on Jett dash going only in the direction you are facing: it does not solve the core of the problem being presented and introduces input complexity, gutting the input satisfaction of one of our [most fun] agents."
He went on to say, "though I think it's a really interesting change, I'm mainly seeing high level players are asking for this and these players will be the first to trivialize this change with adaptation and their strong mechanics."
So, while the developers are keeping an eye on players demands and suggestions, it seems for the time being there are no plans to nerf Jett further at this stage.
The tweets end by saying, "genuinely appreciate all the responses! Always great to see passionate interactions around [Valorant]."
