Valorant will remain relatively similar to what's already there as the newest Patch 3.02 will mostly contain bug fixes and quality of life updates to the game. As for the better agents to play, a lot of the picks are viable to choose from in a game, however, there are some agents that are more of a priority than others.

Fortunately, the latest patch seemed to clean up a lot of bugs that Patch 3.01 couldn't address, along with some general polishing to the game in order to help with the competitive integrity. Although the patch seemed to take some affect to KAY/O, Sage and Raze, they were fairly minor and are hardly meta-defining.

S-Tier

  • Viper
  • Astra
  • Sova
  • Skye
  • Sage

It's surprising to notice how much impact that the agents with utility have within every single round. Whereas, it used to be very reliant on who had the better duelist - though, in some cases it still is - setting up the duelists for success is often better than being the duelist themselves.

A-Tier

  • Jett
  • Cypher
  • Killjoy
  • Breach
  • Reyna
  • Raze
  • Phoenix
  • Omen
  • KAY/O

There are quite a bit of agents in this section, however, know that most of the duelists are here because their strength is very reliant on how other players set them up for success. On top of that, all of the nerfs since the last major patch of Episode 3 have been really eating at player economies to those who still haven't figured it out quite yet. Sometimes in order for these agents to thrive they need to save for several rounds, and when they cannot afford to do so, they become a liability instead of an asset.

B-Tier

  • Brimstone
  • Yoru

There's not much to say about these characters that would make them any better. The problem with both Brimstone and Yoru is that there are other agents that can do the same job that they're seeking, however, the other agents would be able to provide more from their kit as opposed to either of them. Yoru is also still in need of love from developers in order to give him at least some relevancy to his kit.

This isn't to say that either of them are bad agents to pick, if anything, they are still great and fun choices to play. The issue just lies within how much of an asset that they can provide for their team, and their impact in that aspect is very mediocre at best.
