Valorant's First New Weapon is Coming in Episode 8 Act 1

A new weapon is coming to Valorant in Episode 8 Act 1 for the first time in three years.

Valorant Episode 7 brought several major changes to Riot Games' FPS throughout the last year. New Agents Iso and Deadlock joined the game, and new map, Sunset, got added to the competitive rotation. The game also received controversial Agent and weapon buffs and nerfs in each major update. Never, though, did the developers introduce a new weapon...until now.

Valorant's First New Weapon is Coming in Episode 8 Act 1

For the first time since Valorant launched in 2020, the FPS is likely getting a new weapon in Episode 8 Act 1. The news comes as the first major leak for the next Valorant Episode.

Reliable Valorant leaker, ValorLeaks, posted on X, "The Outlaw Sniper, a brand new weapon will be releasing at the launch of Episode 8."

The Outlaw Sniper would join the Marshal and Operator as the third sniper in Valorant, costing a rumored 2,400 credits. Although Riot Games has yet to confirm the weapon, more intel from valohabercisi on X revealed the weapon will kill half-armored people with a single bullet. It is also rumored to fire two bullets at a time.

When Does Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 Start?

Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 starts on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024 at 7 p.m. ET. Since the new Episode will literally kick off the new year, Riot Games will surely have plenty of new content coming in the update.

Although the Outlaw Sniper is the only true leak we have had so far about the upcoming Episode, fans can also expect changes to the map rotation and Agent pool. In fact, it is highly possible we see the return of Pearl, Fracture, or Icebox in 2024 after the developers removed them from the competitive map pool.
