Valorant's Most Unpopular Map is Coming Back in Episode 8
As Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 approaches, new leaks revealed the game's most unpopular map is coming back in 2024.
Valorant Episode 8 is gearing up to bring massive changes to Riot Games' FPS. For the first time since the beta, the developers are adding a new weapon, the Outlaw Sniper, to the game. Plus, teasers already leaked for a possible new Controller joining the Agent pool in the upcoming Episode. Any news regarding possible map changes were kept quiet...until now.
The first report of the Episode 8 competitive map rotation just dropped, and many fans are not happy.
Valorant's Most Unpopular Map is Coming Back in Episode 8
According to reports from reliable Valorant leakers, Valorant Updates and ValorLeaks, Icebox is coming back in Episode 8. The unpopular map left the rotation in April to make room for the return of an updated Bind. Now, after almost half a year, the controversial map will once again join the competitive rotation in 2024.
The return of Icebox means one map must leave Valorant. Unfortunately, the leaks suggest that Haven will be the next map disappearing from the FPS game. Although there is no timetable for Haven's absence, we expect the map to be gone for months based on previous map changes in Valorant.
Riot Games has not confirmed the leaked map updates, though, so they are subject to change in the upcoming weeks. Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 is set to launch on Jan. 10, 2024.
Valorant Map Pool in Episode 8
If the leaks do indeed turn out to be true, then the Valorant map pool in Episode 8 will be:
- Icebox
- Ascent
- Bind
- Breeze
- Lotus
- Split
- Sunset
As of now, there have been no leaks regarding the possible return of Fracture or Pearl. So far, it looks like Icebox is the one major map change coming in Episode 8.
Stay tuned for more updates as Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 approaches.
