Valorant Weapon Tier List: August 2022
Our Valorant weapon tier list for August 2022.
Valorant is known for its flashy agents that have unique abilities and personalities. Another important gameplay factor, however, are the guns in Valorant. Weapon budgeting, damage output, fire rate, range, and recoil all are vital factors in deciding which gun to use.
With a massive patch releasing on July 12, Valorant saw plenty of bug fixes and updates to agents that has changed the meta. Here's how these changes affected the weapons:
Valorant Weapon Tier List: August 2022
S-Tier
- Vandal
- Operator
- Phantom
- Spectre
These weapons are solid at mid to long range, but that's not the only reason they're S-tier. These guns are easier to use, have high damage output, lower recoil, and great magazine sizes. If you're wanting to top frag, these are the right tools for the job.
A-Tier
- Guardian
- Sheriff
- Stinger
- Bulldog
These guns are still great options, but are harder to use, or have less damage than the weapons in S-tier. If players have a higher skill level, then any of these guns are still viable in competitive games.
B-Tier
- Marshall
- Odin
- Ghost
- Ares
B-tier weapons are the middle of the pack. They don't excel in anything, but also don't have any glaring weaknesses. Use these guns if you're budgeting for other rounds but still want to compete for kills.
C-Tier
- Judge
While the judge is in C-tier, it's not due to any outstanding issues. The gun is the best shotgun in the game, but as with any shotgun, the range is abysmal. We recommend other guns than this.
D-Tier
- Starting Pistol
- Bucky
- Frenzy
These guns will get kills, but are easily bottom of the barrel when it comes to range, damage, and control. Also The prices for these are just not worth it.
F-Tier
- Tactical Knife
- Shorty
F-tier weapons are the worst of the worst. Avoid these at all cost and try to budget money well so there's no scenario where you'll have to resort to using these. The knife may be fun to use to mess around with enemy players, but besides that it really has no value as a weapon.
