Vileplume vs Bellossom in Pokemon GO: Which is Better to Evolve Oddish?

Vileplume vs Bellossom in Pokemon GO is an interesting comparison to ponder when faced with evolving Oddish. Oddish will be a global special spawn for the Taipei Safari Zone event. All players will be able to find Oddish, with a chance to catch Shiny Oddish. So which one should you evolve Oddish into?

Vileplume vs Bellossom Pokemon GO

Oddish evolves into Gloom, which can then evolve into Vileplume or Bellossom. Gloom will turn into Vileplume at 100 Candy, and Bellossom with 100 Candy and a Sun Stone.

Vileplume is a dual Grass and Poison type, while Bellossom is pure Grass. While both have the same Stamina, Vileplume has higher attack and CP, but Bellossom has higher defense.

The advantage Bellossom has is that it's not weak to Psychic moves like Vileplume is. Because Bellossom is a little tankier, it can use its powerful moveset more effectively than Vileplume could.

However, neither is the most outstanding Grass type Pokemon; they are outclassed by the likes of Sceptile and Venusaur. They are both, however, the easiest Grass final forms to obtain. If you haven't obtained the starter evolutions yet, Vileplume and Bellossom aren't the worst options for you.
