Warzone Shotgun Tier List August 2020
By Kevin Wolff
Warzone shotgun tier list for August 2020 has a little bit of a shake up at the top with the Origin 12 claiming the top spot. Attachments are the name of the game and the R9-0 doesn't stack up with the top of the class any more.
Typically, Warzone players utilize SMGs for closer range encounters, but a fully kitted out Origin 12 or Model 680 is sure to be effective for those phone booth fights.
Warzone Shotgun Tier List August 2020
S-Tier
Origin 12
Coming in at the top of the Warzone tier list for August is the Origin 12. The weapon's fire rate is consistent, but where it really makes the money is in the attachments category. The Origin 12 can be equipped with a 25-round magazine allowing for consistent thumping of enemies. That many rounds in a shotgun is atypical and separates this one from the rest of the pack.
Model 680
The Model 680 sees a rise in the rankings from last month. It's ultra-powerful with a consistent damage profile. Attachments take this shotgun to a different level, particularly when you kit the Model 680 out for range. A slight let down in the reload speed category is the only reason this doesn't get the top spot.
A-Tier
R9-0
Formerly the king of the shotgun class, the R9-0 drops further from its spot in July's rankings. It hasn't gone completely by the wayside to the point where it shouldn't be considered. You could do just fine with the R9-0, but the lack of improvement from an attachments perspective is the reason for the gap between this one and the Origin 12 or Model 680.
B-Tier
VLK Rogue
The Rogue is respectable in terms of shotguns, but again, shotguns aren't ideal for Warzone in the first place. The VLK Rogue has a drop off in terms of its fire rate, capacity and range relegating the Rogue to the B-Tier. It's not the worst choice but look for an SMG well before you mess around with this shotgun.
C-Tier
725
Rounding out the Warzone shotgun tier list for August is the 725. This shotgun is effective in Modern Warfare, but armored players in Warzone takes the sting out of the 725. It simply doesn't kill opponents quick enough, and after those initial two shots you'll likely be killed while reloading.
