Warzone Sniper Rifle Tier List August 2020
By Kevin Wolff
Warzone sniper tier list for August 2020 wasn't affected much by the release of Season 5. The Rytec AMR hasn't had as much of an impact as some might've thought early on in the previous season with the HDR and AX-50 still reigning supreme.
A map covered in buildings and rooftops, now fully equipped with a stadium, Season 5 of Warzone at Verdansk is tailor-made for sniper rifles. It's simple, one shot to the head from a bolt-action sniper rifle is always a kill. Here's a list of the top ranked snipers to help you on your way to victory.
Warzone Sniper Rifle Tier List August 2020
S-Tier
HDR
King of Season 4, king still. While it's certainly the biggest and the slowest of the sniper rifles, the HDR is without a doubt the top pick here. The premier sniper rifle possesses the ability to be kitted out with a 26.9'' HDR Pro Barrel means very little bullet drop. So while it might not be the fastest to aim, shoot, or reload, with the HDR you're only gonna need one.
A-Tier
AX-50
Identical to the HDR in terms of its damage profile, the AX-50 offers a plus in all the speed categories. Faster to aim, shoot, and reload, this is a much more forgiving sniper rifle. Although, it's just not as accurate as its big brother the HDR when it comes to nailing that perfect long-range shot. It certainly offers a plus in the recoil category, but the bullet drop factor just edges this one out of the top spot.
B-Tier
Dragunov
The Dragunov has a rapid fire rate (for sniper rifles), but its detractors are far greater. Deserving of the B-Tier, this sniper just doesn't have the power of the HDR. In fact, it's not able to 1-shot-kill a fully armored opponent, even when that one shot is to the head. This gun just doesn't serve its purpose.
C-Tier
Rytec AMR
The Rytec-AMR is unique amongst the sniper rifles. It has explosive and thermite round attachments, suiting its name as the "Anti-Material Rifle." When it comes to shooting other players, this gun leaves much to be desired. The special ammunition rounds reduce velocity making it more difficult to snipe distanced enemies. If you're taking out vehicles it's not a bad bet, but for a true sniper battle look elsewhere.
