MW3 Season 2 starts on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at 12 p.m. ET. The new season will replace Season 1 Reloaded and bring plenty of new features to multiplayer, including a fresh Battle Pass, new Ranked Play rewards, and more.

Rumors circulated earlier in the month about a possible collaboration with The Walking Dead coming to Call of Duty that could feature new bow and sword weapons in Season 2 as well. The crossover would likely bring several Operators to the store in honor of the premiere of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live on Feb. 25, 2024.

We will know more about the full scope of MW3 Season 2 when Activision releases the new season roadmap.

Yes, your MW3 Ranked Play rank resets in Season 2, except not all players will fall down to Bronze again. Instead, you will get demoted three Skill Divisions, so as long as you end MW3 Season 1 Reloaded in Diamond or higher, you will not have to grind your way out of the lowest tier for a second time. Diamond I is the highest Skill Division a person can start with in a new MW3 season.

Your numeral rank, on the other hand, does not reset. Everyone started with Rank 1 in MW3 Season 1 Reloaded, and continued to climb the ranks based on how many wins you secured. Whatever rank you achieved in the first three weeks on MW3 Ranked Play will remain and continue to increase in the next season.
