When Does the Pokémon GO 7th Anniversary Party Start?
As Pokémon GO celebrates its upcoming birthday, fans can participate in the Pokémon GO 7th Anniversary Party.
Just like previous birthday celebrations, Pokémon GO is hosting a week-long event full of daily and event bonuses, including the debut of Party Hat Wartortle and Party Hat Blastoise. Players can also gain double the XP for catching and evolving Pokémon throughout the anniversary party, as well as 2x Candy for transferring Pokémon.

When Does the Pokémon GO 7th Anniversary Party Start?
The Pokémon GO 7th Anniversary Party starts on Thursday, July 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Throughout the event, there will be an increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends and finding Gimmighoul Coins. The event ends on Wednesday, July 12, at 8 p.m. local time.
The 7th Anniversary Party will also inspire the following Pokémon to appear more frequently in the wild:
- Squirtle wearing a party hat
- Pikachu wearing a cake hat
- Meowth
- Ponyta
- Togedemaru
Plus, a Community Day Classic event occurs on July 9 during the birthday celebration, featuring Squirtle. Players can possibly encounter a shiny Squirtle, as well as a Squirtle with sunglasses by completing Field Research.
