Why You Should Pick Sprigatito in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
By Jack O'Dwyer
Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have officially revealed the latest starter Pokemon for the next main series region—and fans are already picking favorites.
Here are some reasons why we think you should pick Sprigatito as your starter Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
Why You Should Pick Sprigatito
1. Incineroar didn’t scare you off from picking cat-like starter Pokemon.
I mean, why else would you say no to that cute little face?
If there was ever a Pokemon worthy of the “ito” ending, it would be Sprigatito. With its wide, scarlet eyes, button nose, tiny, light paws and fluffy chest, this Pokemon is certainly in the running for the cutest species to date.
Unless it goes the route of left-field evolutions like Incineroar, how many other ways could this Pokemon truly turn out aside from a fluffy, floral protector?
2. You own a cat and have never seen a better description for it than “capricious” and “attention-seeking.”
If you own a cat, you know exactly where this is going.
Felines in general are not as predisposed to people-pleasing behavior as dogs are, making them hard to read at times and seemingly prone to random moods. They are also famously indecisive when it comes to what they want with certain cats unable to decide if they want to be indoors or outdoors and/or turning their noses up at food they once adored.
There’s a reason why cat owners joke that once they adopt one, they’ll never be alone in their own home again. While aloof, cats are actually rather social creatures that form extraordinarily strong familial connections with their parents, littermates, and humans. After all, there’s a reason why they’ll lie on your keyboard or important project. They want to be near you and have your attention!
3. You’re really into gardening, growing your own food, and/or herb(s) in general.
Or, maybe just one particular herb, according to Twitter trends.
Whether you’ve join in on the pandemic gardening trend, started growing herbs on your windowsill and/or fire escape during the warmer seasons, or have brought up a mysteriously thriving “mystery“ plant that your family has accepted as an unusual species of fern, Sprigatito will be the perfect match for you!
From the looks of the trailer, players may be able to take advantage of one of the most popular exports from Spain—Valencia oranges. The trees can be seen several times in shots of the surrounding landscape and small cottage the protagonist likely lives in. Could it be a link to the region’s famous flora?
