Will FF7 Rebirth be on Steam?

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is one of the most anticipated titles of 2024. Players will experience a reimagining of the original 1998 title that they know and love through this revamped version. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will come out on PlayStation 5 on Feb. 29, 2024, but will it eventually be available on Steam?

Will FF7 Rebirth be on Steam?

Unfortunately, Square Enix hasn’t released any news about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming to PC, let alone Steam. The official website clearly states, “FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will be released on PlayStation 5” under the FAQ section. 

The Final Fantasy franchise is usually on PlayStation, but some games are expanded to Steam. Square Enix released the PC version of the original 1998 version of the JRPG back in Jul. 2013. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, the expanded remake of FF7, came out in Dec. 2021 on Epic Games and then in June 2022 on Steam. 

The same may happen to Rebirth, but there’s no telling at this point. If Square Enix plans to make a PC version of Rebirth, it may take at least a few years. 

Pre-orders for FF7 Rebirth are available. Buy a copy ahead of time to get bonuses, like a steelbook case, an artbook, or in-game items, depending on the edition.
