Will My Beta Character Carry Over to Diablo IV Server Slam?
The Diablo IV Server Slam takes place in May, but will you be able to carry over your Beta characters to the upcoming weekend?
Blizzard are offering players one more chance to test out Diablo IV ahead of its launch on June 6, 2023. Players will once again be able to venture through the lands of Sanctuary, experiencing both the Prologue and Act 1 in full.
An Early Access Weekend and Open Beta Weekend were held to allow players to get their first hands-on glimpse at the upcoming game, playing through each of the five available classes: Barbarian, Sorcerer, Rogue, Druid and Necromancer. Each character could be levelled up to 20, with players able to experience just some of the skills and abilities available for each class.
Now, with the upcoming Server Slam weekend, players can once again select from the five classes and progress through the opening act. But if you're one of the many players who jumped into Diablo IV during the Beta weekends, you will have already made some significant progress with characters. So, will you be able to bring these characters over to the Server Slam and continue?
Will My Beta Character Carry Over to Diablo IV Server Slam?
Sadly, no. Any characters created during the Beta weekends will have been wiped and will not be available to use during the upcoming Server Slam. All players will start the Server Slam fresh, making it the perfect time to try out a new class.
Characters from either the Beta or the Server Slam will also not carry over to the main game when it launches in full on June 6. Players can, however, earn rewards during the Server Slam which will be made available once the game goes live.
One new reward will be on offer exclusively for the Server Slam weekend — the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy.
The Diablo IV Server Slam begins on May 12, 12 p.m. and runs until May 14, 12 p.m. PDT.
