Winter Wishes Pokémon GO 2023: How to Complete the Timed Research

Trainers can catch adorable, holiday-themed Pokémon during the Pokémon GO Winter Holiday event. The first part of it has passed, but players can still reap the benefits of the second. The season has a few Timed Research events, and Pokémon GO trainers wonder how to complete the “Winter Wishes” one.

Winter Wishes Pokémon GO 2023: How to Complete the Timed Research

Follow the steps below to complete the Pokémon GO “Winter Wishes” event.

Step 1: 

• Catch 5 Pokémon (1 Glacial Lure Module)
• Spin 3 PokéStops or gyms (Pikachu with holiday attire encounter)
• Power up Pokémon 5 times (2 Silver Pinap Berry)

After step one is done, players can choose whether they’d like double XP or Stardust for catching Pokémon. Every player will also get items and encounter winter-themed Pokémon, regardless of which option they pick. They’ll receive increased XP and Stardust from opening Gifts as well. 

Step 2:

• Catch 10 Pokémon (Spheal with a holiday scarf encounter)
• Catch 25 Pokémon (Eevee with a holiday hat encounter)
• Catch 40 ice-type Pokémon (Lapras encounter)
• Catch eight different species of ice-type Pokémon (Stantler with a holiday collar encounter)
• Earn 25,000 XP (catching) or earn 7,500 Stardust (Stardust) (Cetoddle encounter)
• Send 25 gifts to friends (Raticate encounter)

Players have until Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time to complete the event and claim rewards.
