Yone League of Legends: Everything You Need to Know
Yone is a strong warrior in League of Legends lore. He gets entangled in a tragic story with his half-brother, Yasuo.
Yone League of Legends: Everything You Need to Know
Yasuo and Yone are the sons of a widow. Yone was respectful, cautious, and conscientious, and Yasuo was nothing like his brother. Yone was good to his brother, defending him when he would be teased by other children. Yone began an apprenticeship in their village’s sword school, as did Yasuo. Yasuo had natural abilities, capturing the attention of the Elder Souma, the last master of the legendary wind technique. Although Yasuo had potential, he was very aloof during his training. Yone pleaded with Yasuo by asking him to set aside his arrogance. Yasuo agreed.
Word of Noxian invasion spread throughout the school, as the classmates, as well as Yone, went to battle. Yasuo was commanded to stay behind and defend the elders. But Yasuo left the post when he heard Noxian drums coming. The only thing Yasuo found after leaving his post was hundreds of corpses lying on the ground. The next day, Yasuo returned to the school, only to have swords drawn at him for the conviction of both dereliction and murder. Yasuo fought his way out of the school.
Yasuo became a fugitive, having felt betrayed by his once known allies. Although people were hunting for him, the one he feared most was his brother, Yone. With both swords drawn, Yone and Yasuo engaged in battle. Yasuo cut down Yone with a single hit. Yone’s final words were of the wind techniques which killed Elder Souma, and that Yasuo was the only one who could have known them. Yone passed on after that.
It was later revealed that Elder Souma death was an accident. Yasuo found himself troubled dealing with the choice he made to abandon the elders, and how that choice later turned into Yone’s death.
Riot Games, the creators of LoL, has released Legends of Runeterra, a card game genre. In it, a card of Yone appeared. Although appearing only as a card, fans have speculated that this is a way of Riot Games revealing new champions. Riot Games recently talked about the October Champions Development Roadmap where there is an arrival of a champion from Ionia. This is mere speculation, but it could be likely that a new champion in LoL will be Yone.
